Customer Data Privacy and "Erase My Data"¶
Hesaby handles customer data (especially delivery: name/phone/address) with respect for privacy.
Automatic deletion after a period¶
A delivery customer's personal data is deleted (anonymized) automatically after the retention period (default 12 months) — while keeping the order and financial record (required for taxes and accounting). You can change the period from the settings.
Right to erasure ("Erase my data")¶
If a customer requests deletion of their data, the owner/manager can erase a specific customer's data (by phone or name) — the system anonymizes their personal data and keeps the order/financial record. This helps you comply with privacy laws.
Data that never leaves¶
- Customer data is never written to the system logs.
- The AI assistant works on the public menu only — no customer data goes to it.
- Each restaurant's data is isolated from the others.
